That's why I use Gimp. It's free and has more or less the same features as PS. I'm not professional, who uses graphic program for work, so for painting pictures to dA it's fine. Besides, if lots of people turns to free programs, they would have to lower prices :P
Besides, the price of Photoshop is misunderstanding. How come one program is so much more expensive than full operating system?
